Contrary to popular belief, the Lotus Temple is not a Hindu Temple. It is a Bahá’i House of Worship. The Baha’i Faith is a religion stemming from the Shaykhi School of Shia Islam. Originating in Iran in 1863, the religion soon spread to India. In 1953, the Indian Baha’i community, that comprised of less than 1000 followers, bought 26 acres of land for the construction of the House of Worship. Over 10 years later, on the order of the Hand of Baha’ism, the Baha’i architect, Fariborz Sahba was approached to design the structure. A majority of the contribution towards the expenses of construction was by a Baha’i follower Ardeshir Rustampur. The Lotus Temple was completed in 1986. Keeping with the beliefs of the Bahá’i Faith, the temple was opened to everyone, irrespective of their gender, religion or other distinctions. In the 1800s, the Shaykhism is prevalent in Persia. Clouds form when humid air cools enough for water vapor to condense into droplets or ice crystals. The altitude at which this happens depends on the humidity and the rate at which temperature drops with elevation. Normally, water vapor can only condense onto condensation nuclei—tiny particles that serve as kernels around which drops can form.   A  cloud  is a mass of water drops or ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere.  Clouds  form when water condenses in the  sky . The condensation lets us see the water vapor. There are many different types of  clouds .  Clouds are an important part of Earth's weather and climate. Cloud Types The highest clouds in the atmosphere are cirrocumulus, cirrus, and cirrostratus. Cumulonimbus clouds can also grow to be very high. Mid-level clouds include altocumulus and altostratus.

Jama Masjid is Delhi’s principal mosque, the place where the city’s Muslims traditionally gather for Friday communal prayer;  Jama Masjid  is Arabic for “Friday mosque.” The mosque is near the  Red Fort , yet another of Shah Jahān’s buildings. Jama Masjid and its courtyard stand on an outcropping more than 30 steps higher than the street, giving the mosque a commanding view of the surrounding area. The longer name,  Masjid-i Jahānnumā , translates to “world-reflecting mosque” or “world-displaying mosque.” The mosque was built by a crew of some 5,000 workers. The principal construction material was red  sandstone , but some white  marble  was also used.
